More About the Kenya Music Studio
This is a multi-phase project that will soon begin in Ptop, Kenya. Each stage of the Kenya Music Studio will further the mission of the Joshua Glynn Memorial Foundation: to share God’s love through music.

Phase 1.
Phase one will focus on building the Kenya Music Studio facility. The center will include practice rooms, a performance space, and secure storage for instruments. We are assembling a team of local instructors and will connect them with our Plymouth facility’s Globally Connected Classroom to provide international collaboration and training.
Phase 2.
Once the studio is established, we will extend the joy of music into the larger community. Plans include forming a community band based in Ptop, featuring talented local musicians. This band will perform locally and, in time, may travel internationally to share their music and story.
Phase 3.
The long-term vision includes developing a recording studio within the Kenya Music Studio. This will give emerging artists the opportunity to record and share their music with the world, amplifying their voices and creating global connections.

Future home of Music Center in Africa
Phase 1.
Phase one involves building out a permanent music center as the heart of the project. We have identified an ideal space and plan to build out with practice rooms, performance space and a secure area to store the supply of musical instruments. We are assembling a team of local music instructors and will supplement their instruction with internet connection back to our Plymouth facility’s Globally Connected Classroom.
Phase 2.
Phase two will be aimed at extending the joy of music into the larger community. Our plan is to form a traveling band based out of the Swayimane community. The band will be named in honor of Joshua and feature the most talented musicians from the center and surrounding community. The band, instructor, band member education costs and travel expenses will be largely subsidized by the Joshua Glynn Foundation. We hope to be able to bring the band to Plymouth for a featured performance at next year’s Glynnt Festival.

Once the core components of this project are up and running, we have plans to develop a recording studio to help the talented musicians coming out of the program get their music professionally recorded and out to the world.
