OUR HAITI PROJECT
We are partnering with Be Like Brit to help share God’s love through music to the orphans of Haiti.
As a local foundation with a Global reach, the Joshua Glynn Memorial Foundation is involved with projects around the world, including at this orphanage run by the Be Like Brit organization in Haiti. This particular orphanage held a special place in Joshua’s heart (having spent quite a bit of time there). We are currently launching a project aimed at expanding and improving the humble music room at the orphanage, increasing the level of instruction and ensuring access to instruments. The plan is to tie the orphanage into the Globally Connected Classroom at our Plymouth facility so the kids can connect with instruction and collaborate with others over the internet.

Josh’s History with The Orphanage
The Be Like Brit orphanage held a special place in Joshua’s heart. Our connection to the orphanage began when Joshua was part of a team that installed a solar energy system at the orphanage. Joshua made an instant connection with the kids from day one. They were forever chasing him down to play and goof around and of course, to make music together.
Our Plan.
At the moment, there is a small music room and some instruments that the kids are using. Our plan is to renovate/improve that space and turn it into a legitimate, fully stocked music facility with practice and performance space to allow the kids to really develop their talents and passion for music. The foundation will handle the build out and work with local staff to bring in music teachers for the kids. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the project is our plan to connect the orphanage to the Plymouth center’s globally connected classroom. This will enable kids to connect with local music instruction and collaborate with others over the internet.
