1985 · Plymouth, MA
Born and Raised in Kingston, Plymouth MA
Joshua grew up in Kingston Plymouth, Massachusetts — a coastal town he loved deeply. From an early age he was drawn to music, faith, and the simple joy of being present with the people around him.
High School Years
Volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club
As a teenager, Joshua volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth with one goal: introduce kids to the joy of music. He gave lessons, put together little bands, and watched kids discover something that would stay with them forever. It was a labor of love — the first chapter of what would become the Music + Arts Center.
Mission Trips · KENYA, MEXICO & HAITI
Sharing Music Across the World
Joshua traveled to Africa on mission trips, connecting with orphanages and disadvantaged youth in Kenya and beyond. He brought his guitar, his faith, and his belief that music could bridge any gap. It was on one of these trips that he took the photograph that would become the foundation's logo — a young boy's eye reflecting both poverty and extraordinary hope. Josh said, "If I ever do my own thing with this, I'm going to call it Glynnt."

Living the Mission Every Day
Whether playing on stage with his band, mentoring young musicians, or supporting orphanages in Haiti and Africa, Joshua was constant in his work. Music wasn't something he did — it was how he expressed everything he believed about God, love, and what it means to show up for other people.
2018 · Age 32
A Sudden and Profound Loss
Joshua was killed in a tragic car accident at the age of 32. His passing left a hole in every life he had touched — which was many. His parents, Matt and Karen, channeled their grief into purpose, founding the Joshua Glynn Memorial Foundation in his honor.

The Joshua Glynn Memorial Foundation carries forward everything Joshua believed and worked for — a Music + Arts Center in Plymouth, global outreach in Kenya and Haiti, an annual music festival, and a growing community of people committed to sharing God's love through music.
